Life can be hectic and if there are fuss-free, easy ways to stay on track with my health, then I am all for that!
Here are my top five tips that I have incorporated into my life to help me feel good every day, all day!
1. Start Your Day The Night Before
The days that I have not prepared the night before will often begin frenzied and disorganized, resulting in unnecessary stress.
Stress reduces our immune system. And if you have added stress on the daily, this is going to wreck havoc with your body in the long run.
Increased stress is linked to weight gain, poor mental health, poor sleep, and a plethora of other ailments.
Be Kind To Yourself And Plan The Night Before In Order To Minimize Stress The Following Day!
2. A Fiber & Protein-Rich Breakfast Is A Great Start!
Lately, I have been making my morning oatmeal with quinoa and chia seeds.
The beauty of this simple porridge is that it is chock full of nutrition, fiber, and protein.
I have found that regular oatmeal or steel cut oats does not stick with me very long.
My new multi-grain oatmeal is filling, but not heavy. And it is very satiating and staves off the grum-bellies for a couple hours!
Another added perk I have found: I can make enough for a couple meals, and it re-heats beautifully–unlike traditional oatmeal!
3. Curb Your Cravings With Chromium
I’m going to be completely honest with you: I have a sweet tooth!
Yep! I love desserts more than I care to confess! This area of my diet is in constant need of improvement.
And, thankfully, I have found a painless way to enjoy something sweet without the guilt.
And that is GC Control!
I get it from a wellness shopping club that I belong to.
It is a godsend when it comes to curbing my sweet tooth, and yet satisfying my craving for a sugary snack.
And simple, quick, and easy are key for me here!

4. Add Beauty Into Your Daily Life
Sometimes we are not able to reduce the amount of stress we are experiencing in a given season of life.
However, you can add something that brings happiness to yourself.
There are many times while I am grocery shopping at my favorite, local store (Aldi!) that I pick up an economical bouquet of flowers!
I imagine that this bouquet was given to me by the Lord, just to show me how much He loves me and thinks of me!
It may sound silly to some. But for me it expresses what He told us in Jeremiah 31:3 “…Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Inexpensive flowers are my way to add beauty into my life.
What are some easy ways you can add beauty into yours?
5. Throw Out The Negative Thinking
How many times in a day do you think a negative thought?
If I am not careful, I can fall prey to negative thinking patterns. And these negative thoughts quickly turn into habitual negative thinking!
It takes being intentional to stop this negativity.
Once negative thinking has become a habit, it is extremely hard to break the cycle. But it is POSSIBLE to stop it!
You just need to be purposeful in your thoughts.
Start paying attention to what you think about, and deliberately root out the negative scripts and thought patterns in your life.
When you add in positive and pleasant thoughts, you will find that your stress levels will fall naturally.
You will feel more at peace with yourself and those around you, as well!
Pick One Thing To Improve This Week!
