Meet Ruthann
Hi, there! I’m so glad you stopped by!
I’m Ruthann, and I’m a mom of four awesome children, ages 17 to 27! I have been on a journey to wholesome and healthy living for over 30 years now.
It all began with my Dad when I was a young woman in my teens. Back then, Dad was an avid lover of learning. In his thirst for knowledge, he became fascinated with herbs and alternative healing.
In his own way, he became somewhat of a guru of knowledge, and his passion spilled over to me! When I first got married in 1988, I realized that my husband had battled allergies to cats and pollen & grasses for most of his life. He would get annual shots for his seasonal allergies. So, I consulted my Dad for advice on finding a way to help my husband overcome his allergies, if possible.
Dad recommended a few books, and I set to work reading and researching information – looking for common threads in the books that addressed allergic responses.
Thankfully, my husband was a willing guinea pig, and my journey to healthy living was set in motion!
After following my ideas, my husband became allergy free within two years! He was able to be in homes with cats without any asthma or allergic responses. As an avid outdoorsman, his seasonal allergies were completely gone, also!
I was ecstatic!
My husband’s success with his health, spurred me on to continue learning! So in many ways, “Wholesome Living Made Simple” was birthed way back in 1988!
So come along with me on my continued path to Wellness!

You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.

Our Mission
The name says it all! Wholesome Living, Made Simple!
My goal is to walk along side you in your journey to a healthy and wholesome lifestyle, yet do it in a simple way.
The world we live in can be so hectic and fast-paced, that we often lose focus of our end goal, which is to live a life that is rich and vibrant.
Wholesome living refers to looking at all aspects of wellness: body, mind, and soul.
I believe that in order to be truly healthy, we need to look beyond food and exercise and counting calories.
These are good things to keep in mind, but if we neglect our emotional, spiritual, financial, and relational health, then we are forgetting big pieces to the puzzle of well-being!
